New York State Face Covering Mandate

Dear East Ramapo Central School District Community,
Our district is aware of Monday's court ruling related to the New York State mask mandate. Late last night, the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) appealed the Nassau County Supreme Court decision, which results in an automatic stay, that unambiguously restores the mask mandate until such time that an appellate court issues a further ruling. Therefore, schools in New York State must continue to follow the existing mask rule.
At this time, we ask our students, families and staff to continue face-covering compliance and not engage in any actions or activities that cause disruption to the educational process.
East Ramapo Central School District will provide updates accordingly. Thank you.
