Board Meeting Roundup Notes From January 18 Meeting
Dear East Ramapo Central School District Families and School Community,
The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education. - Reverend Martin Luther King
Throughout East Ramapo Central School District this month, we honored the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King through song, essays, art, trivia contests, and more. Our teachers impressed upon students the tremendous impact Dr. King had on the Civil Rights movement, and his ethics on peace, nonviolence, fairness, responsibility and respect. I hope you take a moment to look at some of the events that took place throughout some of our schools here on our district site.
In case you missed it, here are some of the highlights we discussed during the Board meeting on Tuesday, January 18, 2022:
Congratulations to our School Board Member Sabrina Charles-Pierre who was honored by St. Charles AME Zion Church for her service to Rockland County and East Ramapo Central School District
