  • Inspired Chestnut Ridge 7th Graders Sweep the King For A Day Oratorical Competition

    On Monday, February 15th, 7th and 8th graders throughout East Ramapo Central School District participated in the King For A Day Oratorical Competition. We proudly announce that Chestnut Ridge Middle School SWEPT the competition, with Sophia, Veronica and Gabriel taking home the trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

  • After School Activities Canceled Monday Feb 22, 2021

    Today, February 22, 2021 out of an abundance of caution all afterschool activities, including athletic competitions will be canceled. Afterschool activities will resume tomorrow.

  • District Updated Schedule

    Note that the district is working diligently to frame a model to allow for increased in-person instruction and we will communicate updates as soon as that information is finalized. Please check the district calendar online for dates. Next week, February 22nd to February 26th, will be in person instruction for Cohorts A, AA, and ABC.

  • Spring Valley High School Coach Beats the Odds

    In celebration of Black History month, we turn the spotlight on Willie Worsley, the 76-year old who has been working as a basketball coach and security guard for the past 36 years. Mr. Worsley’s claim to fame is that he played at Texas Western as a member of the all-black starting five — the first in NCAA history — that defeated all-white Kentucky to win the 1966 National Championship. That historic moment was depicted in the 2006 film Glory Road. Worsley was only 5 foot 6.

  • East Ramapo Fully Remote Thursday, February 18, 2021

    Due to the predicted snowfall and for the safety of our students and staff, East Ramapo Central School District will be fully remote on Thursday, February 18th, 2021. Students and teachers should engage in remote learning. Meals will be available for pick up at the Martin Luther King, Jr Community Center, the Spring Valley Police Department, and Spring Valley High School from 9 am until 11 am.   • February 2, 2021 Trustee Election Results

    On February 2, 2021 pursuant to Federal Court order (Case 7:17-cv-08943-CS-JCM), an all-absentee ballot special election was held in East Ramapo Central School District for all nine (9) board of education member seats. The District was divided into nine separate voting wards through Federal Court order with residents voting only for a candidate for the ward in which they live. Ballots were canvassed on February 9, 10, and 11, 2021. The unofficial results are now available.

  • President's Day Weekend Reminder

    This is a reminder that on Monday, February 15th and Tuesday, February 16th, all East Ramapo schools are closed in honor of President's Day. Classes will resume on Wednesday, February 17th with Cohorts C, BB, and ABC engaging in in-person learning, and all other cohorts engaging in remote only learning. Due to the extended weekend, on Friday February 12th food distribution sites will be providing meals for Saturday through Tuesday! Thank you and enjoy the weekend!

  • The Daily Mile at Lime Kiln Intermediate

    There is ample research that shows that exercise, like walking a mile, physically remodels the brain for peak performance, improving alertness, attention, and motivation. That’s why the first 15 minutes of every weekday morning, you will find Lime Kiln Intermediate School students walking, talking, giggling, and waking up their sleepy brains to be prepared for lessons of the day.

National School Counseling Week, sponsored by American School Counselor Association (ASCA), highlights the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.
