Welcome back, East Ramapo! On this page, you will find an overview of information you need to get your East Ramapo student off to a successful start to the 2025-26 school year.

Cell Phone Policy

Starting this fall, all public school students in New York State are prohibited from using cell phones or other personal devices that connect to the internet during the entire school day. In line with this rule, East Ramapo students may not use these devices anywhere on school property during the instructional day, including during class, lunch, recess, free periods, study halls, and in hallways between classes.

Bus Passes/Transportation

Our transportation department is actively addressing an issue that impacted some student bus passes recently mailed to families. A portion of the passes included incorrect information as a result of the district’s migration to a new transportation software. ERCSD is resolving the problem by taking the following steps:

  • Corrected bus passes are being mailed to all East Ramapo parents and caregivers.
  • Corrected digital copies of student bus passes are being emailed to all East Ramapo parents and caregivers which may be used temporarily until the printed pass is received.
  • Bus passes are available on the new My Ride K-12 app, where you can access your child’s bus assignment, receive alerts about delays and cancellations, and view a digital copy of their pass.

Beginning Tuesday September 2 at 7:30 AM, you can call the ERCSD Transportation Hotline at 845-577-6498 for additional support.

 

Start & End Times (Bell Schedule)

Please note the new schedules for elementary and middle schools. High school schedules remain unchanged from last year.

  • Ramapo and Spring Valley High Schools: 7:42 a.m.–1:56 p.m.
  • Pomona and Chestnut Ridge Middle Schools: 9:05 a.m.–3:40 p.m.
  • Kakiat S.T.E.A.M. Academy (Grades 7&8): 8:05 a.m.–2:40 p.m.
  • Kakiat S.T.E.A.M. Academy (Grades 4-6): 8:10 a.m.–2:40 p.m.
  • Elementary Schools: 8:10 a.m.–2:40 p.m.
