Spring Valley's Annual Multicultural Day Celebration

Spring Valley's Annual Multicultural Day Celebration

Spring Valley High School’s lower gym was alive with color, music, dance and cultural pride on Monday, April 7, as students and staff gathered for the school’s 23rd Annual Multicultural Day.

The event, a beloved tradition since 2002, celebrates the rich diversity of the Spring Valley community. More than 100 members of the school’s Multicultural Club helped organize the day, which featured performances, traditional foods and clothing from 18 different countries.

“Spring Valley has always been a culturally rich school, and that diversity has continued to evolve,” said Noel Hirsch, teacher advisor to the Multicultural Club. “In the past, we had large student populations from India, Russia and China. More recently, we’ve welcomed students from countries such as Ukraine, Honduras and El Salvador.”

Multicultural Day remains a highlight of the school year for these Tigers—bringing together students and staff in a vibrant celebration of heritage, unity and global awareness.
