Free PSAT/SAT School Day Exam

Dear Parents and Guardians:

The East Ramapo Central School District is pleased to provide an important college and career readiness opportunity for our 11th- and 12th-grade students. On Thursday, October 29, 2026, the District will administer the PSAT/SAT School Day Exam to eligible students FREE OF CHARGE during the regular school day.

We strongly encourage you to register your child to participate in this valuable opportunity.

Why Should Your Student Participate?

Taking the PSAT/SAT can help students:

• Prepare for the college admissions process.
• Become familiar with the SAT testing experience in a comfortable school setting.
• Identify areas of academic strength and areas where additional preparation may be helpful.
• Build confidence before taking future college entrance exams.
• Support their college and career planning goals.
• Explore opportunities that may be available based on their test performance.

For students in 11th grade, the PSAT can also provide an opportunity to qualify for certain national academic recognition programs and scholarships.

The District is pleased to offer this examination at no cost to students. Students may also take the exam on a different day, at their own expense. We encourage families to take advantage of this opportunity and support their students in taking an important step toward their future.
