East Ramapo Celebrated Black History Month in February 2025
Last month, the East Ramapo Central School District honored Black History Month with a profound reflection on the enduring legacy, achievements, and contributions of Black American leaders who have shaped U.S. history. Across all 14 schools, principals, educators, staff, and students participated in meaningful activities that celebrated the invaluable impact of Black Americans on our society and daily lives.
“Throughout February, the District commemorated Black History Month with a rich array of events, including performances, educational projects, special tributes, and field trips exploring Rockland County’s unique Black history,” said Dr. Ronald Gonzalez, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. “We are deeply grateful for the dedication and hard work of our staff in bringing these powerful learning experiences to life.”
