East Ramapo Appoints Eric Stark as Interim Superintendent

During a special meeting on Wednesday, June 24, the East Ramapo Central School District Board of Education appointed Eric Stark as Interim Superintendent of Schools, effective July 1 through August 15, 2026.
Stark brings more than 20 years of experience in school finance and business leadership to the role. He will serve as Interim Superintendent until the Board of Education appoints the district’s next permanent superintendent.
Since 2024, Stark has demonstrated outstanding dedication, strong leadership and a deep commitment to East Ramapo students, staff and community as the district’s Assistant Superintendent for Business.
He previously served as the Director of Business Administration in the North Salem Central School District after more than two decades in the Carmel Central School District, where he was Interim Superintendent of Schools from July 2020 through February 2021.
Stark succeeds Interim Superintendent of Schools Ana Reluzco, who has served in the role since July 1, 2025.
The Board of Education looks forward to its continued work with Stark during the district’s leadership transition.
