Degrees and Certifications:

BA - History MA - Physical Education Physical Education Teacher, certified Health Education Teacher, certified

My name is Lindsay Zekus, and students may refer to me as Coach Zekus. I am approaching my 2nd year at ERCSD and currently teach Physical Education at Spring Valley High School. I am also the Athletic Coordinator at SVHS, in which I schedule and oversee all athletics that take place at Spring Valley High School.

I attended Manhattanville College where I received a BA (Bachelors) in History with a minor in Sociology and an MA (Masters) in Physical Education. I was a part of the Manhattanville College softball team during my 4 years of undergrad where I received Academic All-American status. I have recently received my teaching degree in Health Education.

Prior to ERCSD, I taught part-time in Briarcliff CSD, Katonah-Lewisboro CSD, and Bedford CSD. In the past, I have coached varsity softball, varsity girls basketball, varsity field hockey, and modified girls volleyball.

I love to work out whether it is going for a run, lifting weights, or practicing yoga. I still play softball and I am an avid golfer. I enjoy traveling around the world and love to read in my spare time. I enjoy getting to know my students both in the classroom and out of the classroom!
