2026 Election Unofficial Results -Budget Passed

East Ramapo Central School District Budget and Board Vote Results:

The following are the unofficial results of the Annual Budget Vote and Election for the East Ramapo Central School District:

2026-27 Budget Total Votes (which includes in-person votes and absentee votes): 1,405 Votes cast. "No" Votes: 443, "Yes" Votes: 940. Results from Ward 4 are pending due to technical difficulties. There are not enough votes to change the outcome for the budget or the trustees.

The 2026-27 school budget PASSED.

Board Member election results are as follows:

Sherry McGill is elected to a 3-year term as a Trustee in Ward 3 with 225 votes to begin July 1, 2026.

Simon Koth is elected to a 3-year term as a Trustee in Ward 5 with 19 votes to begin July 1, 2026.

Moshe Samuel Feder is elected to a 3-year term as a Trustee in Ward 8 with 92 votes to begin July 1, 2026.

2026 Election Information

The Budget Vote & Trustee Election is May 19, 2026.

ALL registered voters in ALL wards can vote on the budget. Only voters in Wards 3, 5 and 8 can vote on Board of Education Trustee candidates this year.

Poll sites are open from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 for in-person voting. Voters MUST cast ballots at their Ward poll site location based on their voter registration address.

In 2026, only registered voter, residents of the following wards, will vote on trustee candidates who run in their ward for the Board of Education :

  • Ward 3 - current incumbent trustee is Sherry McGill. Candidates are Sherry McGill.
  • Ward 5 - current incumbent trustee is Simon Koth. Candidates are Simon Koth.
  • Ward 8 - current incumbent trustee is Moshe Samuel Feder. Candidates are Moshe Samuel Feder.

Successful candidates for Ward 3, 5 and 8 elections will serve for the term from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2029.

In compliance with the Federal Court Order registered voter residents of the other wards (1, 2, 4, 6, 7 and 9) will only vote on the budget. They cannot vote on trustee candidates in 2026.

We encourage voters to register with the Rockland County Board of Elections. That registers you to vote for all Primary, General, School and Library votes as well as allowing a voter to register for the permanent disabled absentee list to automatically receive absentee ballot. Keep in mind that the District does not control the time for registrations to be processed by the Rockland County Board of Elections.

The completed form and a copy of a government issued ID must be returned to the District Clerk's Office at the Administration Building, 105 South Madison Avenue, Spring Valley, NY 10977 by 7 p.m.on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 to vote on the May 19, 2026 Budget & Trustee Election.
