homework
  • ELA and Math homework will be assigned daily. Homework is a reinforcement of classwork and is counted toward the final grade on the report card.  It will be checked daily.

Every night, the students should read their "Just Right" book at least 45 minutes. After they are done reading, they should write a well-constructed response in their ELA notebooks. Their reading responses should be 8 to 10 sentences long about the text or they will answer the assigned reading question for homework.

If a student does not complete homework assignments, they will be given a ZERO. They are expected to make it up. The students will also have to fill out a NO HOMEWORK EXPLANATION SHEET that will explain why they did not complete the homework.

If it becomes a frequent offense, phone calls will be made and a homework plan will be put into place.
