    East Ramapo Central School District is immensely grateful to the community for supporting the district and the revised 2023-24 budget. By passing the revised budget, residents help the District continue to support the long-term goals in the areas of academic instruction, social-emotional learning and operations.     The preliminary results of the 2023-24 East Ramapo Central School District budget vote show an approved budget with 1994 ‘yes’ votes and 768 ’no’ votes. Click here for unofficial results.

    June 20, 2023 Budget Revote Information:

    ALL registered voters in ALL wards can vote on the budget. You must vote at the poll site for the ward that you reside in.

    Important Dates

    June 2, 2023 - Military ballot requests must be received

    June 5, 2023 - Requested military ballots transmitted

    June 13, 2023   Last date for voter registration with the District - 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  

    June 13, 2023 - Last date to request an absentee ballot to be mailed to the voter

    June 19, 2023 - Last date to request an absentee ballot for pickup by the voter, or designee

    June 20, 2023 - All absentee ballots and military ballots must be received by the District Clerk by 5 p.m. in order to be counted.

    Who Can Vote?      

    To vote, a person must be:

    • a citizen of the United States;
    • a resident of the School District for at least 30 days immediately preceding the election;
    • 18 years of age or older;
    • personally registered for School District Elections or registered for General Elections with Rockland County.

    Not Sure if You are Registered to Vote?

    If you have not voted in a School District vote/election in the past four years, or if you have not voted in a General Election in the past five years, you must register to vote.

    Not Registered? How To Register to Vote

    We encourage voter to register with the Rockland County Board of Elections. That registers you to vote for all Primary, General, School and Library votes as well as allowing a voter to register for the permanent disabled absentee list to automatically receive absentee ballot. Keep in mind that the District does not control the time for registrations to be processed by the Rockland County Board of Elections.

    You do not have to register directly with the School District if you are registered with the Rockland County Board of Elections, or if you have voted in the past four years. If you do not register with the Rockland County Board of Elections you may register for East Ramapo Central School District budget votes only, at the office of the District Clerk by clicking here to download a Personal Registration form.  The completed original form and a copy of a government issued ID must be returned to the District Clerk's Office at the Administration Building, 105 South Madison Avenue, Spring Valley, NY 10977 by 4:30 p.m.on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 to vote on the June 20, 2023 Budget Revote.  We can copy your ID for you.
