The New York State Education Department is responsible for setting student learning expectations (standards) for what all students should know and be able to do as a result of skilled instruction. Each local school district develops curricula based on these established standards.
The East Ramapo Central School District (ERCSD) is committed to ensuring that all students are afforded equitable access to high-quality programs, services, and resources, with a targeted focus on making strategic, sustainable investments that simultaneously support students’ holistic academic and social-emotional needs.
Our ERCSD educators work throughout the year to provide an aligned curriculum that is delivered with effective instructional practices to improve the growth and achievement of our students. The Administration supports this work through a continuous improvement process that involves curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development.
