Completed ballots for the 2020-2021 Budget Vote and Finkelstein Library Trustee Election must be received by the District by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, June 9th. You may either place your completed ballot in the mail (to be received no later than 5:00 pm on June 9, 2020) or drop it off at the District’s Administration Building. “Grab and Go” breakfast and lunch will be provided for free, every day school is closed, for the District’s students in low-income families, and for every child who comes to the Food Banks. Saturday and Sunday meals will be available to be picked up at the Food Banks each Friday.
The East Ramapo Central School District is participating in flexible home learning days, through a series of activities. Our goal is to continue engaging students with content while challenging them through independent practice. Flexible learning activities will reinforce concepts that students have learned, as well as extend learning. Because of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency and State and Federal bans on large meetings or gatherings and pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order issued on March 12, 2020 suspending the Open Meetings Law, the Board of Education Regular Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at 9:00 p.m. will be held electronically via online web conferencing technology instead of a public meeting open for the public to attend in person. At that time it will consider all matters lawfully coming before the Board. It is anticipated that the Board may enter an executive session to discuss matters lawfully to be so considered.

“Suspension of law allowing the attendance of meetings telephonically or other similar service:
Article 7 of the Public Officers Law, to the extent necessary to permit any public body to meet and take such actions authorized by the law without permitting in public in-person access to meetings and authorizing such meetings to be held remotely by conference call or similar service, provided that the public has the ability to view or listen to such proceeding and that such meetings are recorded and later transcribed;”
On May 19, 2020 the Board of Educaion adopted a revised 2019-20 Instructional Calendar in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In compliance with the Governor's executive orders, the New York State Department of Education requirements, and contractual agreements the last day of school for teachers and students will be June 23, 2020.
