The Board of Education of the East Ramapo Central School District is searching to fill the position of Interim Superintendent of Schools. The Interim Superintendent will remain in the position during the Board’s search for a Superintendent. Read more for application deadline and requirements.
The District Wide School Safety Plan has being updated. A public hearing was held on August 4, 2020, and the Board expects to adopt the revised plan on September 15, 2020.
Comments on the District Wide School Safety Plan may be sent to the District Clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org. Comments should be sent by 4 p.m. on September 3, 2020.
At that time it will consider all matters lawfully coming before the Board. It is anticipated that the Board may enter an executive session to discuss matters lawfully to be so considered. Minutes of the Board of Education Regular Meeting will be transcribed and posted on the website.

Because of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency and State and Federal bans on large meetings or gatherings and pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Orders suspending the Open Meetings Law, the Board of Education Meetings will be held electronically via online web conferencing technology instead of a public meeting open for the public to attend in person. At that time it will consider all matters lawfully coming before the Board. It is anticipated that the Board may enter an executive session to discuss matters lawfully to be so considered.

“Suspension of law allowing the attendance of meetings telephonically or other similar service:
Article 7 of the Public Officers Law, to the extent necessary to permit any public body to meet and take such actions authorized by the law without permitting in public in-person access to meetings and authorizing such meetings to be held remotely by conference call or similar service, provided that the public has the ability to view or listen to such proceeding and that such meetings are recorded and later transcribed;”
