On Monday, February 15th, 7th and 8th graders throughout East Ramapo Central School District participated in the King For A Day Oratorical Competition. We proudly announce that Chestnut Ridge Middle School SWEPT the competition, with Sophia, Veronica and Gabriel taking home the trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Today, February 22, 2021 out of an abundance of caution all afterschool activities, including athletic competitions will be canceled. Afterschool activities will resume tomorrow.

Following state-approved protocols, the District immediately notified the small group of individuals who had interacted with this person. The District also notified The Rockland County Department of Health and has started the contact tracing process.

At that time it will consider all matters lawfully coming before the Board. It is anticipated that the Board may enter an executive session to discuss matters lawfully to be so considered.

Because of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency and State and Federal bans on large meetings or gatherings and pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Orders suspending the Open Meetings Law, the Board of Education Meetings will be held electronically via online web conferencing technology instead of a public meeting open for the public to attend in person. At that time it will consider all matters lawfully coming before the Board. It is anticipated that the Board may enter an executive session to discuss matters lawfully to be so considered.
