  • Board of Education Virtual Special Meeting  Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 7:30 p.m.

    PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Education of the East Ramapo Central School District will hold will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

    Please note that the Board expects to convene immediately into executive session to discuss matters leading to the appointment of a person or a company.  The Board does not expect to take action after executive session.

    Because of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency and State and Federal bans on large meetings or gatherings and pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Orders suspending the Open Meetings Law, the Board of Education Special Meeting will be held electronically via online web conferencing technology instead of a public meeting open for the public to attend in person.

    Minutes of the Board of Education Regular Meeting will be transcribed and posted on the website.

  • Annual Budget Vote and Finkelstein Memorial Library Election Results

    Yes: 3,850        No: 6,917     The 2020-21 school budget was defeated.

    Denet Alexandre was re-elected to a five-year term as a Finkelstein Memorial Library trustee to begin July 1, 2020.

  • Revised Instructional Calendar

    On May 19, 2020 the Board of Education adopted a revised 2019-20 Instructional Calendar in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. In compliance with the Governor's executive orders, the New York State Department of Education requirements, and contractual agreements the last day of school for teachers and students will be June 23, 2020.
